Daylight Reflecting Mirros

2021

I come from Sweden, a country where daylight is scarce for more than half the year. There can be as little as 4 hours and 50 minutes of daylight in some places. Lack of light leads to seasonal depression, which 830k Swedes suffer from yearly. People compensate for this with large windows or lamps, but how else can you increase light indoors? After extensive research and form exploration, I designed a family of mirrors to spread daylight indoors to help decrease the seasonal blues. They can be combined in different variations to not only create a functional product, but also one that sparks conversation. They are intended to be made out of stamped aluminum and wall hung!
